Harmakhet's Sjagar of Norsvana bred by Per and Britta Werner, Denmark

We had been looking for a stud boy and came across Sjagar at 7 weeks old in July 2007, we fell in love with him and travelled out to Denmark to watch him grow many times over the remaining 8 months we needed to wait before he could enter the UK. .

Unfortunately once we brought him home and had him blood tested it became evident that we  would not be able to breed from Sjagar, we were deeply saddened and upset by this.

Britta, Per, Colin and myself decided it would be better for him to be re-homed here in the UK.

He has gone to live with some friends in Cumbria, Andy and Paula, a golden retriever and a hamster.  He has a happy, pampered life and is very loved.

We will keep his web page open and occasionally update it with photos and stories of this lovely little boy and his new life

A few updated of Sjagar at home

13 May 08

We visited Sjagar today, he has been keeping Andy and Paula busy building a gorgeous cat run for him that is linked to the house. He is happy and well and spent the day basking in the sun. He's developing into a gorgeous big boy, we're so sad we can't breed from him.

30 March 08 - Coming to live with us

Sjagar is now settling into his new home, he's a lovely gentle boy. We collected him from Denmark on 28 March 08 and once again entered the UK via the Channel Tunnel . He's made himself completely at home in his new 'panic' built run and in a few weeks we'll introduce him gradually to our current cat family

I would be lying if I said he enjoyed the travelling, but he certainly coped well. The drive took around 20 hours and we had plenty of stops , each time Sjagar came for some cuddles, kisses and a play. The photos above are of Sjagar in his new run.

Thank you to Per and Britta in Denmark,  for this lovely boy. for all the care and love given to him, we know how very, very difficult it was to part with him. The UK law said he couldn't enter until he was 10 months old due to his rabies vaccination, blood test and 6 month wait.

9 Months old - March 08

With less than 3 weeks left before Sjagar can enter the UK we called in to see him on our way from Norway to England, after collecting Sandoy. We are so pleased with him, he's a lovely strong boy with the sweetest personality you can imagine. A real credit to Per and Britta

6 Months Old - November 07

There is still another 4 months before his pet passport allows him to enter the UK. so we flew to Denmark to see him again and met his two Grandfathers.
